I think you were being very gracious with your review. I soooo wanted this album to grow on me. I refused to stop listening to it until I found something I liked about it. Just one thing! But to no avail. It's incessant unrhythmic disturbing squeelingis hutful. Beth's vocals feel more like a whisper than the powerhouse she at one time was. Nevertheless, I have it to add to my collection. Sigh.

With three of her CDs and finally getting to see her last night in Phoenx we are still on cloud nine, and shopping for the rest this afternoon. She and her band blew the Rippingtons away, and the line to get a signed CD from them was a miny compare to Mindi and the men. Several in the crowd yelled out "You should be opening for them" Its true...The best concert we have both ever had the pleasure to enjoy. Why has a smart person not snaged her up in Vegas?

I don't necessarily disagree with your spelling of the Indiana Jones theme music, but I would find it hilarious to see people debate over different ways they think is the *only* way to spell it, heh heh...

I have not yet received Mindi's new album and have read your review with great interest. I have been a fan sine she released It Just Happens That Way. I even travelled all the way from the UK to Seattle, WA to see her live at Chateau Ste Michelle last year, which was a fantastic experience and meeting her after her set put the icing on the cake. If the new album lives up to your review it will be another masterpiece, I do agree though that an album of songs and then one of sax would be a sensible way forward for her.
